Greetings and welcome to Folio---the blog of Fandescript! I thank you for taking time to visit my site today. Together, we are embarking on a series of great stories and adventures that will create all manner of emotions within us as we read and interact with the content provided. Some stories may inspire you to dream and contemplate different subject matter within your own life while others may evoke wonder, fear, love and a host of various feelings! Are you ready!?

Happy Fandescript Friday! I hope your week was adventurous! What perils have you faced? Any giants or great enemies you conquered? Whatever and wherever your quest led you, congratulations on your achievements and continue on with your journey. If you’ve made it this far, chances are you’ve got questions — about the world behind the stories, the inspiration behind them, or just what I was thinking when I unleashed that opportunity on The Drifter in page 8 of The Highway Gray.

This FAQ is here to pull back the curtain (just a little). Whether you’re a first-time reader, a returning fan, or someone trying to figure out more about me as a writer — you’re in the right place.
Below you will find answers about:
  • The surprises lurking in my books
  • Story connections
  • My inspirations and upcoming works
  • And maybe a few cryptic hints about what’s coming next
    …
1. Where do you get your inspiration? From God and my experiences in life that I've either lived or dreamed about, as in daydreams or my imagination. There are many influences that I've drawn on when creating the worlds, characters, and sagas/adventures readers engage in. I enjoy story/world building, fictional characters, and mytholgoies found in various franchises from video games, vintage cartoons/80's tv shows and others. Among authors, I am inspired by Edgar Allen Poe and C.S Lewis, along with their individual works of literature.

2. What genres do you write in?I explore other forms of fiction such as steampunk, westerns, science fiction and more but I write primarily in fiction, suspense, and thrillers — blending mystery, high epic and allegorical fantasy, along with the creation of fictional mythologies with world building, cultural creation, and other elements

3. Are your books connected in a shared universe?Yes. Most of my stories exist in a loosely connected universe or universes where they interact and play within the existance and/or co-existance of other characters, backstories, and ever changing circumstances. If you read carefully and look for clues within the stories, you will be able to see linked roles and possible foreshadowing of clues that are tied into behind-the-scenes actions. Some of my characters and events overlap and play apart in the next set of stories, despite the chnage of genre it could be in (western to Afrofuturism, crime thriller to high epic adventure, etc), Despite this fact, each book can be read as a standalone.

4. Where can I find updates or behind-the-scenes content? You can sign up for my newsletter at www.fandescript.com/about or follow me on Instagram/Twitter @fandescript. I also occasionally share concepts, lore building and other components of my stories.

If you have any other questions for me, please email them and I will respond accordingly plus post them, along with the answers here.

Until next time, the pages await you!
